I approached Teemu because of his production work with Insomnium. Although my own band is musically very different from them, I wanted a clean and powerful, but at the same time that plastic free, organic hsound that is so often missing in modern metal production. I am also in love with the magic he does with softer melodies for Insomnium and we got to have some of that magic. A brilliant ear for fine details. I live in Iceland and I have never met Teemu in person or visited his studio. Everything was done in co-operation online. It was very fluid from day one because this guy is both friendly and easy going and he had an understanding of the material he received. He even went a step further than expected and brought Niilo Sevänen (Insomnium) to the mic to lay down some guest vocals for us. That of course was an amazing addition. The results for our album are in and results are very satisfactory. Teemu plays a huge part in this. With him, you get what you pay for. Simple as that.
